New Generation Mahindra Thar Launched And Booking Details Revealed
All new Mahindra Thar will go on sale on October 2, 2020, with bookings open on the same day. This new off-roader when compared to old models and comes up with new technology, better features, comfortability and more.
This version of Thar will be offered in both hard-top and soft-top versions from the factory.
The New-Generation Mahindra Thar has been finally unveiled and the off-roader takes great refinment over the current model. The new model is technology-rich, fully-featured, and designed to meet with the current safety and emissin norms of government. Mahindra not only decided to reveal the specifications of new Thar on 74th Independence Day but also disclosed launch and bookings details of new model. The new thar will be launched on October 2, 2020, the day marks the 151st Birth Annivrsary of Mahatma Gandhi and the bookings will commence on the same day.

All new Thar will be offered in soft-top and hard-top versions but gets distinctive new grille that's taken inspiration from Mahindra classic vehicles over the year. The all new seven-slat grills graced at front. The hood has been raised for enhanced protection. This thar gets wider bumper and wheel arches with integrated turn indicators and LED lights running in daytime.
Mahindra says new Thar is based on third generation platform. The SUV is now wider then predecessor that results in a more comfortable space and safety standards. The SUV has 255\65R18 tyres that have been upsized and are wider for improved stability, better compatibility and improved stance on road. The wheel base has increased so that second row gets front facing seats. The lower variants will continue to offer side-facing seats.
The Mahindra says that it was a feedback from our Thar community. The safety comprises dual front airbags, ABS, ESP, Hill hold and Hill Descent Control with three point seatbelt for child seat and more.

The new thas has water wading ability of 650 mm with ground clearence of 226 mm. The ground clearence will be different according to wheels.The SUV has approach angle of 42- degrees and ramp-over angle of 27-degrees and departure angle of 37-degrees.

The new Thar will be available in two versions, AX series for adventure enthuisasts and the LX series for lifestyle users, The automatic versions will be limited to LX series.
