Audi launches Q2 SUV in India at Rs. 35 lakh.
Audi Q2 goes on sale in India today onwards. Prices start at Rs. 34.99 lakh. The Audi Q2 is the smallest SUV on sale from the company in India yet. It is positioned below the Audi Q3 in India.

The Q2 is powered by a 2-litre TFSI engine making 190PS/320Nm, mated to a 7-speed DSG and with standard quattro all-wheel drive. Audi claim a 0-100kmph sprint in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 228kmph. Built on the versatile VW Group MQB platform, the Q2 measures in at 4,190mm in length, 1,794mm in width and 1,538mm in height, on a wheelbase of 2,595mm. Boot space for these quattro-equipped models stands at 355-litres.
Exterior
The newly launched Audi Q2 is based on the MQB platform. The SUV gets a broad shoulder line and angular styling which is complemented by a long roof spoiler and a diffuser to offer the sporty coupe look. The low-roof design further adds to the character. The vehicle features a Singleframe grille with Octagonal design and large air inlets to offer a matured, yet sporty stance. In terms of dimensions, the Audi Q2 has a height of 1,548mm, width of 1,805mm, and a length of 4,318mm. The wheelbase measures 2,593mm. Customers can avail panoramic glass sunroof at an additional cost of Rs 1.5 lakh. The 17-inch five-arm star design alloy is standard, while the 17-inch five-spoke V-style alloy wheel is optional and can be purchased at an additional cost.
Interior
The Audi Q2 has a spacious 5-seater cabin, featuring a sunroof, a wireless smartphone charger, a 180W 10-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, and a multifunctional power steering wheel.
The compact SUV packs a virtual cockpit with an MMI interface, and offers support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, to ensure connectivity.
All standard safety features, including multiple airbags, are also present.
Engine
The Audi Q2 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TFSI engine that generates 187bhp between 4,200 – 6,000rpm at and 320Nm of torque between 1,500 – 4,180rpm. This engine comes mated to a seven-speed Stronic transmission that enables the vehicle to sprint from 0-100kmph in 6.5 seconds.
Variant-wise prices for the Audi Q2 are as follows (all prices ex-showroom), with an optional panoramic sunroof costing Rs 1.5 lakh extra on the Standard model:
